On Sunday 19th April, a problem with the overhead power cables that supply the railway (and the bowls club) meant no electricity and thus no signals. To ensure the railway carried on running safely, an emergency service was implemented of two large trains, each one only departing as the previous train returned to the station.  A chalkboard message was displayed to give passengers some idea of what was going on.
